Mockumentary Series (Homestay)                                                                                                                                                      Home

Homestay is a six part mockumentary series which follows the trials and tribulations a recently engaged couple face when opening their home to several dodgey lodgers and a camera crew. Dreamt up with my mate Ted Macdonnell in 2019 whilst volunteering in a Fijian Primary School (aren’t we just a couple of angels) naive to the amount of work, money and time this would take to produce. Being thrown into the deep end worked wonders, the experience was eye-opening and the skills we gained were invaluable.

With just ourselves to rely on we had no choice but to get on with it and 3 years later we had an original fully functioning series, topping it off with a season finale screening at the Whirled Cinema which 50 of our friends, family and industry contacts attended. It was a special night for all of us and was a fitting end to a project we’d given our all to create.

“Congratulations - it looked great. I know how hard it is to make anything at all so that’s a great achievement to direct or co direct something with such a polished look. Good performances too - talented comedy actors. All were good but I liked your Eastern European guy particularly.”
- Jesse Armstrong

“Excellent work, can see plenty of hard work has gone into this and look forward to seeing what you come up with next”
- James Nesbitt

Each poster was made by a different local artist who followed my rough sketches, so basically I’m the artistic genius behind all of these. (Click on the appropriate poster to watch each individual episode)
